As Christ Methodist Church-Sumner continues to grow in staff, missions, and ministries we must pledge to support our operational budget with our tithes, offerings and service for the coming year. 

Stewardship is based on . . .

God’s Word, not on the fundraising needs of the church.

An individual’s desire to give back out of gratitude, not on the church’s need to receive.

The premise that all we have and all that we are comes from God. As thanks, we are called to return a portion of what He has allotted to us.

“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” – 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
